At 24, Fraser Chatham is a bit of a wunderkind. Like most of us who end up in the big smoke, Fraser’s a small towner from Whangamata who came up here to study and never left. After finishing up at the Elam School of Fine Arts, he went on to complete the Scholarship programme at Auckland’s Kingsize Studios.
It was at Kingsize that Fraser developed his style, getting a night job there post-scholarship and finally working his way up to Ops Manager. Getting to play amongst all that equipment had an obvious effect on Fraser’s style – his technical ability allows him to play with viewers’ perceptions of what’s real and what’s CGI.
In this episode of Production Lamingtons, we follow Fraser as he shoots his second album cover for Leisure and begins to dabble with motion.
